Admission process

Established in 1994, the NYSS Institute of Management & Research has the AICTE's approval to admit 120 students each year. Of these 96 students are placed at the institute by the state's Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and 24 are picked by the institute as Institute Level Seats.
The DTE conducts the Maharashtra MBA/ MMS-Common Entrance Test (CET) every year to fill seats in various management institutes in the state. Details are available on www.dte.org.in  or Directorate of Tech. Education, 3, Maha Palika Marg, Maharashtra State, Mumbai-01.

. 15 % of the seats are kept for Outside Maharashtra Students
. 15 % seats are allocated to other university students from Maharashtra
. 50 % seats reserved for students from Nagpur University
. 20 % are Institute Level Seats

Eligibility

   Passed with minimum 45 % marks in aggregate (40 % for BC candidates from
      Maharashtra) in any Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in any
      discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, OR, appeared 
      for final year examination of such a Bachelor's degree.
   Appeared for Maharashtra MBA/ MMS CET; or CAT (conducted by IIMs); or
      JMET (conducted by IITs); or MAT (conducted by AIMA); or ATMA (conducted
      by AIMS) or XAT (conducted by XLRI). All admission aspirants, however, must
      appear for the group discussion and personal interview conducted by the
      Maharashtra State DTE.
   The CET conducted by the Maharashtra State DTE is for a total of 240 marks.
      Of these, 200 are for a written objective type test; 17 for GD; 17 for PI; two
      for work experience; two for SSC first class and two for HSC first class.

Institute Level & Vacant Seats

Admissions to seats remaining vacant after offering admission through the CAP (centralised allotment process) and the admission process for the management seats are done as per the guidelines issued from time to time by the Maharashtra Government's Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai.

For admission to seats remaining vacant after completing the CAP process, and for admissions to the Management seats, the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai will be followed.
